Working together to advance stroke rehabilitation and recovery across the continuum of care
Presented by NHMRC Centre Research Excellence (CRE) in Stroke Rehabilitation & Brain Recovery, this workshop will bring together clinicians, basic scientists and clinical researchers to discuss and be inspired by the latest advances in stroke recovery and rehabilitation. Presenters will include renowned stroke researchers Julie Bernhardt (CRE and The Florey, Melbourne), Avril Drummond (University Nottingham, UK) and Michael Nilsson (CRE and Centre for Innovative Technologies in Rehabilitation Settings) and local consumers who will cover topics of:
- Fatigue, stress and anxiety after stroke
- Community services and addressing the needs of stroke survivors
- Using technology to enhance access to evidence based care in stroke recovery
- Current trial updates and what’s new in stroke research

Meeting/start point: Location: Bronze statue of Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759–1796), Art Gallery Road, in The Domain Time: 0700-0800 Info: please meet group at start point at 0700 before head off time at 0710 Running course: we will do a loop in the domain with a nice start along the water and than a return at the border with the botanic garden.
